The Government of Ukraine has expanded its state support programme to strengthen the energy resilience of private households by adding the option of obtaining loans for autonomous heating in private homes. The maximum amount of such a loan is up to UAH 480,000.
It is reported that funding can now be obtained not only for backup power supply equipment, but also for autonomous heating systems. The programme is available to owners of private houses with an area of up to 300 sq. metres.
Loan funds may be used to purchase solid fuel stoves or stove-fireplaces, chimneys, ventilation systems, fire safety and thermal insulation elements, as well as to pay for installation and related materials.
The programme is financed by the National Development Institution (NDI). For 2026, around UAH 801.5 million has been allocated for the implementation of the expanded programme within the NDI’s resources, without additional expenditure from the state budget.
