Customs Officers Stopped a Van with Branded Clothing Worth a Million

Customs officers discovered branded clothing worth 1.1 million hryvnias in a minivan.

Today, September 26, a MERCEDES minivan arrived from Poland at the Rava-Ruska – Hrebenne checkpoint, driven by a 28-year-old resident of Ternopil region. For customs inspection, the driver chose the ‘green corridor’ lane, thereby indicating that he was not transporting goods subject to declaration and taxation. However, during the inspection of the vehicle, customs officers found clothing, bags, shoes, and jewelry from well-known brands: HERMES, CHANEL, Christian Dior, Loro Piana. According to preliminary data, the value of the goods is 1.1 million hryvnias. A protocol on violation of customs rules has been drawn up under part 2 of article 471 of the Customs Code of Ukraine.
