The Velykomostivska community ranked second among 73 communities in the Lviv region for its share of defense spending.
“Thank you to our Defenders for keeping the sky above us, for protecting us from the enemy, and for making it clear who is in charge on Ukrainian soil!” – states the message. Communities in the Lviv region allocated over 2.04 billion UAH for needs related to Russia’s armed aggression over the first 7 months of this year. The leaders in terms of the share of actual defense spending are Pidberiztsivska (32.5%), Velykomostivska (26.8%), Sokolnytska (24.6%), Rozvadivska (23.3%), and Murowanska (22%) communities.
The regional budget allocated 16.3% for defense – that’s over 573 million UAH. However, the Lviv community, with a budget 2.5 times larger than the regional budget, allocated only 6.7% (523 million UAH) to support the soldiers. This is too little for a community with such financial potential.
It is important to note that the data is based on information from the treasury service and reflects actual expenditures. Every hryvnia you invest in the army saves lives and provides a chance for a quicker achievement of a just peace.
