In 2022, more than 9,000 people found work in Lviv Oblast
In January-July this year, 32,300 unemployed people used the intermediary services of the Lviv Regional Employment Service to find a job, which is 23,100 less than in the same period last year.
During this period, 9,100 people, including 7,500 unemployed people, found work under the guidance of the employment service. Among them, 110 clients were provided with new jobs with compensation to employers from the payment of a single social contribution. To increase the level of competitiveness, 1.7 thousand unemployed people underwent professional training or retraining.
During seven months of this year, the employment service was entrusted with the search for potential employees by 4.9 thousand economic entities, from which information was received about the availability of 18.2 thousand free jobs and vacant positions.
The average amount of wages indicated in open vacancies as of August 1, 2022 was UAH 9.6 thousand, while at this time last year, employers offered an average of UAH 8.4 thousand for a job.
In the first days of August last year, 9,400 unemployed people needed help in finding employment (10,100 less than last year). Most of them (65.2%) are women, 25.4% are young people under the age of 35, and 41.6% are rural residents.
