Within the framework of the project of the Lviv OVA “Model of a modern library” it is planned to renovate and equip 20 modern spaces in the libraries of the region.
Today, August 30, the opening of such a library space took place in Bibrka, Lviv district.
Within the framework of the pilot project of the Lviv OVA “Model of a modern library” the library was renovated, windows and doors were replaced, and bookshelves, furniture, a laptop and a printer were purchased.
The opening of the renewed space was attended by the profile deputy head of the Lviv OVA Ivan Sobko, the deputy director of the department for culture, nationalities and religions of the Lviv OVA Tetyana Plugator, the head of the Bibra City Council Roman Grynus.
“There is still a lot of work ahead for our regional institutions, but what we value most is human potential. How effective are the people working in these institutions in their work. After all, children should have the product that is available today – a modern library with a new, beautiful room and the opportunity to spend quality time here, in particular. The Bibr community has a desire to create the best possible conditions for your children. The desire to make the community strong and monolithic is about you. Your community is very hardworking.
Within the framework of the “Modern Library Model” project, each library will receive 100,000 hryvnias, which it will use at its discretion together with the community to update its space. This gives the right effect. I wish that this room will always be like a beehive – noisy and with children’s noise, so that children can find communication here, an opportunity to spend time interestingly and learn something new,” Ivan Sobko said.
The pilot project “Modern Library Model” is implemented in 20 communities of the region with co-financing from the regional budget (2 million UAH) and local budgets (8 million 625 thousand UAH). In August-September 2023, it is planned to open 8 modernized library spaces:
Library “Public Library of the Bibrka City Council” (Bibrka) – opened today;
the library of Nizhne Vysotsk Borynska TG;
the library of Chishki Davydivska TG;
“Mykolaiv Central Library of Mykolaiv Central Library” (Mykolaiv);
library branch of Gamalivka of Murovan village council TG;
the library of Volosyanka Slavska TG;
the library of Trostyanets Trostyanetska TG;
children’s library of the “Public Library” KZ, Novoyavorivska.
In another 12 communities, the project will be implemented by the end of 2023.
It will be recalled that within the cooperation of the Department of Culture, Nationalities and Religions of the Lviv Oblast with the international charitable organization “SOS Children’s Villages Charitable Foundation” it was already possible to equip interactive rooms for children in nine libraries of the Lviv Region.
