During the training, they worked out the issues of organizing the actions of the governing bodies, civil defense forces of the district in the event of the threat of occurrence and the occurrence of an emergency of a natural and military nature in the conditions of a special period and liquidation of their consequences.
From November 28 to 29, a command-and-staff exercise with the Lviv district of the region continued on the issues of organizing the actions of administrative bodies and civil defense forces of the district in the event of a threat of natural and military emergency in the conditions of a special period and liquidation of their consequences.
As noted in the civil defense department of the Lviv Oblast, the full-scale war on the territory of the state made significant adjustments to the training of the civil defense forces of the region. Therefore, the main goal of the training was the acquisition by the governing bodies of the Lviv District Military Administration and territorial communities of the district of the ability to respond in a timely and qualitative manner to the challenges caused by the state of war.
“The goal of the training is not just to assess the level of the district’s readiness to respond to existing threats, but to jointly identify problems and, most importantly, possible ways to solve them,” emphasized the deputy head of the training, director of the department Ihor Tuz.
The main questions worked out during the exercises:
– response to violations of the normal operating conditions of critical infrastructure facilities of the district, associated with the probable launch of missile strikes on critical infrastructure facilities of the district;
– readiness to receive the evacuated population from the territories of possible radiation contamination;
– preparation for the operation of points of special sanitary treatment of the population and decontamination of vehicles.
“The high-quality organization and coordination of the work of all constituent administrative bodies of the district and territorial communities is a guarantee of the preservation of life and health of people in the event of emergency situations of a military nature,” added Ihor Tuz.
