The jury considered six project proposals
On Wednesday, August 9, the All-Ukrainian open architectural competition for the best project proposal for the comprehensive improvement of Independence Square in Skole was held. Nine participating teams from Lviv, Kyiv, Odesa, Chernivtsi and Dnipropetrovsk region registered to participate in it. Six project proposals were submitted to the competition.
Among the eleven members of the jury was Olena Vasylko, director of the department of architecture and development of urban planning of the Lviv OVA.
“We evaluated whether the project is functionally understandable, ergonomic, inclusive, how unique its solutions are. It was important that the proposed solutions corresponded to the scale of the city and space, harmoniously fit into the historical environment,” says Olena Vasylko.
The first place was chosen by the project under the code 329071. As it became known after opening the envelopes with declarations of authorship, it was designed by the “Guess Line Architects” team, headed by Andriy Lesyuk. The winners will receive a monetary reward in the amount of 100,000 hryvnias. Also, the customer, Skolivska City Council, was recommended to implement this project.
