The shrine is an architectural monument of national importance and dates back to 1746.
The Department of Architecture and Urban Development of Lviv Regional Government received permission from the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine to carry out restoration work on the wooden church of the Cathedral of the Holy Mother of God in the village of Zabolottsi of Zolochiv district.

Last week, the contracting organization “Creative Factory “Victoria” started their implementation. The technical task involves the implementation of various types of work, including:
– restoration of the wooden structures of the porch, the sacristy roof;
– arrangement of oak foundations of the porch;
– reproduction of the covering of the nava and babinets baths;
– replacement of unusable parts of log walls;
– fire-resistant treatment of wooden structures;
– biofire protection treatment of shingles;
– insecticidal treatment of wood;
– installation of lightning protection.
Previously, the specialists of the department, together with the chief architect of the project, Serhiy Pinkovskyi, went to the object to determine the main course of the restoration works and their sequence. The restoration of the church will be carried out at the expense of the regional budget. 6 million hryvnias were allocated for this.
