Drohobych’s Budget Exceeds Expectations by 8.4% for the Quarter

In the first quarter of 2026, the Drohobych City Territorial Community received tax revenues totalling 232.9 million UAH to the general fund excluding transfers. This exceeded the planned figures by 18.0 million UAH, representing a budget surplus of 8.4%, according to the city’s financial management.

The main source of budget income is the personal income tax (PIT), which accounts for 53.3% of the general fund’s structure. PIT revenue for the quarter was 110.9% of the plan, and compared to the same period last year, it increased by 23.2%. The rise in PIT is linked to increases in salaries, particularly in education, where from 1 January 2026, teachers received a 30% increase.

Other revenues are made up of various taxes, land fees, duties and excise taxes, which also show a positive trend. Overall, the first quarter of 2026 was characterised by stable budget growth, opening up new opportunities for community-benefit projects such as road repairs, and improvements in education, healthcare, and social services.
