Businesses in Lviv Region Paid 3.2 Times More Taxes

Taxpayers in Lviv Region’s business sector contributed 3.2 times more personal income tax to the regional budget than the public sector.

For the first 8 months of this year, enterprises paid 11.7 billion UAH, while the public sector paid 3.7 billion UAH. “The business sector provided over three-quarters of the region’s tax,” stated Ivan Sobko, Deputy Head of the Regional State Administration.

The dynamics of personal income tax (PIT) payments show that the business sector grew by 30%, while the public sector grew by 11%. Overall, revenues in the region increased by 25%.

In the Slavske and Sokolnyky territorial communities, the business sector’s share of total tax revenues exceeds 90%. It is over 85% in Rozvadiv, Pidberizci, Solonka, Murovane, Bibrka, Radekhiv, Morshyn, and Obroshyne communities as well. The Strilka, Turkiv, and Biskovychi communities rely on the public sector for more than 60% of their PIT.
