Lviv Region: Growth in Tax Revenues in Key Industries

The Lviv region demonstrates significant growth in tax revenues in the manufacturing and trade sectors.

It has become customary for the manufacturing and trade sectors of the Lviv region to contribute the largest amounts to our budgets from personal income tax. Over the first nine months of this year, the region received 3.5 and 3.3 billion UAH in tax from legal entities in these sectors, respectively. This was reported by Deputy Head of the Regional State Administration Ivan Sobko.

Thus, the combined share of these sectors in overall regional PIT revenues exceeds 30%. In terms of the dynamics of tax payment compared to last year, the leader for the second month in a row is the ‘Information and Telecommunications’ sector, whose payers have provided a growth rate of 61%. The second in this indicator is the mining industry, which increased their paid amounts by 54%. The construction industry ensured a growth of 43%, while trade saw a growth of 39%. Overall, tax revenues in the region increased by 24%.

Compared to the first quarter, the dynamics of tax payments have significantly improved in the mining industry, as well as by individual entrepreneurs. Meanwhile, noticeable deterioration in dynamics can be observed in the agriculture and forestry sectors, transportation, and real estate transactions.
