Lviv region ranks among top five leaders in local budget revenue growth

Lviv region ranked fifth among Ukraine’s regions in January–May 2026 in terms of growth rates of revenues to the general fund of local budgets compared with the same period in 2025. This was reported by Deputy Head of the Regional State Administration Ivan Sobko.

According to the official, across Ukraine as a whole local budget revenues increased by 16%, while in Lviv region the growth amounted to 22 per cent. This is the region’s best result in the past seven months: its ranking was higher only as of 1 November 2025.

The growth rate of revenues in Lviv region exceeds the national average across all analysed types of income. The region ranks fourth in terms of the dynamics of property tax, fifth in terms of growth in personal income tax and fees for administrative services, seventh in terms of the dynamics of excise tax and corporate income tax, eleventh in terms of the single tax, and twelfth in terms of land fees.

For property tax, personal income tax, corporate income tax, excise tax and the single tax, Lviv region’s ranking for the first five months of 2026 is the highest of all periods this year.

In monetary terms, the region remains third in Ukraine in terms of the volume of revenues to local budgets: over five months they received UAH 19.2 billion. Ahead are the city of Kyiv with UAH 48.9 billion and Dnipropetrovsk region with UAH 26 billion.
