
The first plenary session of the 69th Sokal City Council meeting has concluded, during which over twenty budget-related issues were addressed. The primary focus was on amending the city council’s 2025 budget following an overperformance in revenue collection.
Here’s a summary of how the additional tax revenue from the Sokal community was allocated:
Key Areas of Funding:

UAH 8.6 million – for supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including purchasing drones, UAVs, and military equipment for 17 military units. In total, the community allocated UAH 47.4 million for military support in 2025 — one of the highest contributions among 72 communities in Lviv region.

UAH 3.751 million – for reconstructing the pressurized sewer collector from Medical Facility No. 3 in Zhvyrka to Pump Station No. 1 in Sokal.

UAH 4.080 million – to settle outstanding debts for work completed at FSC “Sokil” in 2021.

UAH 1.545 million – allocated to the Sokalzhytlokomunservice utility company for the purchase of 50 galvanized trash containers and tree-trimming equipment.

UAH 4.232 million – for current and capital repairs of municipally owned roads.

UAH 3.622 million – for repair works in the premises of the Sokal hospital.

UAH 2.447 million – for upgrading the power supply system at Sokalvodokanal, including installing a backup solar power system to improve energy independence at water intake and treatment facilities.

UAH 965.8 thousand – for reimbursing transport costs for beneficiaries entitled to free travel.

UAH 435 thousand – co-financing the purchase of housing for a combatant.

UAH 286 thousand – for completing the installation of the Memorial Alley and landscaping in the village of Telyazh.
In addition, funds were allocated to improve the material and technical resources of educational and cultural institutions within the Sokal Territorial Community.
