In the Truskavets community, family holidays will be subsidised for defenders and their families

In the Truskavets urban territorial community, a scheme has been introduced for partial payment of family holidays for combatants, persons with disabilities caused by the war, and injured participants of the Revolution of Dignity. Internally displaced persons from these categories are also entitled to this support, provided they reside within the Truskavets community.

The compensation is provided under the Programme of social support for specific categories of residents of the Truskavets urban territorial community for 2025–2027 and the Comprehensive programme for supporting war veterans and their family members in Lviv Region. Funding is provided on a co-financing basis: 60% of the funds come from the regional budget of Lviv Region and the remaining 40% from the budget of the Truskavets community.

The maximum amount of the payment is up to UAH 15,000 per person, with the duration of the holiday being up to 10 days. This compensation can be used once per calendar year.

The payment covers accommodation, meals, cultural and wellness activities and other services directly related to the organisation of the holiday. Travel costs to and from the holiday facility are not reimbursed. The recipient chooses the holiday facility independently; if the cost of the package exceeds the maximum amount of compensation, the recipient pays the difference.

To receive compensation, one must contact the Department of Social Protection and Health Care of Truskavets City Council, submit an application and a set of documents. These include: an identity document, the taxpayer’s registration number, documents confirming family relationships, a document confirming the status of combatant, person with disability caused by the war, or injured participant of the Revolution of Dignity, and for internally displaced persons, a registration certificate (if required).

The compensation is provided after the holiday services have actually been delivered. For this purpose, a tripartite agreement is concluded between the department, the service recipient and the chosen holiday facility, and a certificate of services rendered is drawn up.

For more detailed information on the terms, list of documents and application procedure, residents are advised to visit the Department of Social Protection and Health Care of Truskavets City Council in person at: Truskavets, Chornovola Square, 2, office 204.
