Tax revenues in the Lviv region increased due to manufacturing and trade
332 and 316 million UAH were contributed to the budget by personal income tax from taxpayers in the sectors of ‘Manufacturing’ and ‘Trade’ in Lviv region in January of this year. As it was last year, these sectors are the leaders in terms of tax payment volumes in the region; together they provided a third of the revenues. This was noted by the Deputy Head of the Regional State Administration, Ivan Sobko.
Growth of tax revenues in different sectors
Compared to January 2024, the manufacturing industry increased the amount of tax paid by 32%, and trade by 46%.
Overall, in terms of tax payment dynamics compared to January of the previous year, the highest increase—56%—was provided by the sectors of ‘Information and Telecommunications’ and ‘Professional, Scientific, and Technical Activities’. An over 40% increase was also achieved in construction, transport, warehousing, and postal activities.
It is worth noting that overall, tax revenues in the region increased by 28%.
Considering that the first month of the year does not yet reflect stable trends, we await how the situation will change further.
