On 24 June, an extreme fire danger of class 5 is forecast for most of the Lviv region. At the same time, the city of Drohobych is expected to have a low fire danger of class 2.
According to meteorologists, the weather conditions will contribute to a high likelihood of fires starting and spreading rapidly in ecosystems if sources of ignition are present, particularly open flames.
Residents of the region are urged to refrain from burning dry vegetation, lighting campfires in forests and near fields, and to be especially careful with any sources of fire in open areas.
