On April 16, at 14:22, the Rescue Service 101 received a report that two cars, an Audi Q7 and an ISUZU, had collided on the Kyiv-Chop highway near the village of Pasiky-Zubrytski, Lviv district.
Rescuers from the 61st State Fire and Rescue Unit of Vynnyky and the 29th State Fire and Rescue Unit of Lviv were sent to the scene.
When the rescuers arrived at the scene, there were trapped people in both cars who needed medical assistance.
Using special tools, the rescuers unclenched the deformed structures of the cars and unblocked the injured driver, a man born in 1967, from the Isuzu and the deceased passenger, a woman born in 1971, from the Audi Q7.
Two units of special equipment and 9 rescuers were engaged in the rescue operations.
Law enforcement agencies are establishing the causes and circumstances of the accident.
