There is significant pressure on certain checkpoints along Ukraine’s western border. At present, for entry into Ukraine at the Krakivets checkpoint, 100 cars and 20 buses are waiting, while at Shehyni there are also 100 cars and 8 buses.
By contrast, entry into Ukraine via the Uhornyky, Rava-Ruska, Hrushiv, Smilnytsia and Nyzhankovychi checkpoints is currently freer, with no significant queues recorded there.
For those leaving Ukraine, a build-up of cars is observed at the Uhornyky checkpoint, where 15 vehicles are waiting, as well as at Krakivets, where 10 cars are in the queue. There are no queues of cars at other checkpoints. In terms of bus services leaving Ukraine, 5 buses are waiting at Krakivets.
Border guards recommend, where possible, choosing less congested routes for crossing the border, and planning journeys for early morning or late evening, when queues are usually shorter.
