Queues at the Ukrainian-Polish border: where the wait is shorter

At present, queues have been recorded at the Ukrainian-Polish border both for entry into Ukraine and for departure from it. This was reported by the border guards.

The following are waiting to enter Ukraine:

  • Ugryniv checkpoint – around 30 cars;
  • Hrushiv – 2 buses;
  • Krakivets – 30 cars and 15 buses;
  • Shehyni – 120 cars and 11 buses;
  • Nyzhankovychi – 20 cars and 2 buses.

The least busy checkpoints for entry into Ukraine at the moment are Rava-Ruska, Hrushiv and Smilnytsia.

For departure from Ukraine, a build-up of cars has been recorded only at the Ugryniv checkpoint, where around 10 vehicles are waiting. At the other checkpoints there are no queues of cars for departure.

In bus traffic for departure from Ukraine, there are queues at the Krakivets checkpoint, where 12 buses are waiting, as well as at the Nyzhankovychi checkpoint, where 1 bus is in the queue.

The border guards advise citizens planning a journey to choose less busy checkpoints and, where possible, to cross the border in the early morning or late evening hours to avoid long waits. Up-to-date information on the workload of checkpoints can be monitored on the Facebook pages of the Western Regional Directorate of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and the 7th Carpathian Border Detachment.
