There is significant build-up of vehicles at certain checkpoints on the Ukrainian-Polish border in Lviv region for those leaving Ukraine.
At present, queues are being observed at the following checkpoints:
- “Uhryniv” – around 25 cars;
- “Hrushiv” – around 35 cars;
- “Krakivets” – approximately 100 cars;
- “Shehyni” – roughly 50 cars and 3 buses;
- “Nyzhankovychi” – around 10 cars.
At the same time, the “Rava-Ruska” and “Smilnytsia” checkpoints are currently not busy for those exiting Ukraine.
Travellers are advised, where possible, to choose less congested crossings and to plan to cross the border in the early morning or late evening, when traffic is usually lighter.
Up-to-date information on the load at checkpoints can be monitored on the Facebook pages of the Western Regional Directorate of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and the 7th Carpathian Border Detachment.
