The Drohobych community received an accolade from the Book of Records of Ukraine for organising and conducting a patriotic event that united thousands of Ukrainians around the idea of unity. As part of the International Forum “Carpathian Sea”, the event organiser Oksana Yurinets handed over the certificate to the mayor Taras Kuchma and the deputy for humanitarian relations Yuriy Kushlyk.
Remember that in October 2025 Drohobych became the centre of a national event: in the central square, a unique canvas was unfurled, symbolising the unity of the Ukrainian people. The composition was created by stitching together fragments made by children and adults from various regions.
The record was documented on-site by a representative of the National Register, highlighting the consolidated efforts of volunteers, educators, and the municipality. The handover of the certificate confirmed Drohobych’s status as a city that supports patriotic initiatives on a national level.
