As of 08:00 on 3 August 2026, rivers in the Lviv region remain in a largely unchanged low summer low-water regime. Over the past 24 hours, minor fluctuations in water levels of 1–5 cm have been recorded, mostly showing a decline.
On certain watercourses in the Dniester basin, water levels remain close to long-term minimum values and in some places are even lower. In particular, this applies to the hydrological post on the Dniester River near the settlement of Rozdil and the Orava River in the area of the Sviatoslav hamlet.
Water temperature in the mountain tributaries of the Dniester ranged from 14–19°, while on other rivers in the region it generally remained within 19–25°.
According to the hydrological advisory, over the next 24 hours most rivers in Lviv region are expected to retain the current regime with minor fluctuations in water levels, predominantly with a decline and a further decrease in water discharge.
At the same time, in the evening of 3 August, due to possible local rainfall, short-term rapid rises in water levels cannot be ruled out in the upper reaches of the mountain tributaries of the Dniester.
