
In the evening, at 21:00, in Lviv on Paporotna Street, an accident occurred related to carbon monoxide poisoning. In a two-story building equipped with gas, two residents, aged 65 and 73, were affected. According to information from the municipal civil defense and protection management, the women were immediately transported to the regional clinical hospital in moderate condition.
The gas supply to the apartment was suspended for further investigation of the accident’s cause. The residence had a gas boiler and stove. Statistics show that since the beginning of the year, there have been ten similar incidents with carbon monoxide in the Lviv region, affecting 24 people, including nine child cases. As a result, two people died.
Experts insist on the necessity of remembering safe use of gas equipment and emphasize symptoms of poisoning – severe headache, weakness, and drowsiness.
