Liquidation of the flood, opening of the rehabilitation center: what was the previous day like in Lviv Oblast

In the Drohobytskyi and Stryisky districts, the consequences of the bad weather that occurred on June 10 continue to be eliminated. In the village of Novy Kropyvnyk, gas supply is being restored. 45 subscribers remain without it.

Clothes, medicines, products, hygiene products, water and generators were transferred to Kherson from the Lviv district. The assistance was organized by the “Hearts Together” charitable foundation together with the BF named after Volodymyr Sternyuk, BF “With God’s help” and the Pustomytiv territorial community.

“A rehabilitation center for children with disabilities, lesions of the central nervous system, diseases of the musculoskeletal system, and cardiac problems was opened in Strya. This is a separate division of the children’s hospital of the Territorial Medical Association “Stryya City United Hospital”. Assistance will be provided by a doctor of physical rehabilitation medicine, a physiotherapist, a physiotherapist, a psychologist, a speech therapist, a massage nurse, a physical education and physiotherapy nurse. Treatment for children is free of charge,” said the head of Lviv OVA Maksym Kozytskyi.

The center was opened thanks to funding from the city budget, National Health Service and benefactors. The total cost is about 2 million hryvnias.

After the restoration, the iconostasis was returned to the Holy Trinity Church in Zhovkiv. It is five-tiered, has approximately 50 icons. It was created by Ivan Rutkovych masters of the Zhovkiv school of painting and carving at the beginning of the 18th century. Let me remind you that the Church of the Holy Trinity in Zhovkva is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Two more make bases for camouflage nets. Pupils of the Rudkiv Gymnasium and students of the Vyshnyan College, women from among the IDPs, and residents of Rudkiv, especially the elderly, also periodically join in creating nets and kikimors. Funds for the purchase of threads are provided by the Church of the Holy Eucharist in the city of Rudka and the city’s humanitarian headquarters.
