In Lviv Region, during the past day, rescuers extinguished 43 fires in ecosystems, covering over 12 hectares. Fields, roadsides, and areas near forest massifs were ablaze. The fire quickly spread through dry vegetation, creating thick smoke, hazardous to people and the environment.
Most of such fires occur due to human carelessness or deliberate burning of dry grass. Rescuers urge residents not to burn dry grass and rubbish, as one thoughtless act of arson can lead to widespread fires, threatening residential buildings and even human lives.
We urge all residents of the region not to turn the land into ashes, to protect nature and to care for safety.
