Since the beginning of 2025, the Lviv region has witnessed 102 fires. These incidents have resulted in two fatalities and one person sustaining injuries.
Firefighters from the State Emergency Service (SES) have saved the lives of five individuals. Over the past 24 hours alone, seven fires have been reported, during which three buildings and one garage were saved.
The Main Department of SES in the Lviv region urges residents to follow fire safety rules, including:
- Do not smoke in bed.
- Regularly inspect and maintain electrical wiring.
- Turn off electrical devices when leaving the premises.
- Never leave young children unattended or allow them to play with matches.
- Avoid overloading electrical circuits and refrain from using multiple high-power appliances simultaneously.
