Hydrological Situation on the Rivers of Lviv Region: Forecasts

The hydrological situation on the rivers of the Lviv region as of January 10, 2026.

In the past day, the Lviv region received between 0 to 4 mm of precipitation. In the Dniester river basin, water levels fluctuated from -4 cm to +7 cm. In the lowland rivers of the Western Bug basin, water levels increased by 4 – 8 cm.

There was an intensification of ice phenomena in the form of bank ice and slush on the rivers of the Lviv region. In some places, ice formation was observed with a thickness of 5 – 11 cm, and in some cases up to 15 cm (HP river Zavadka – village Rykiv).

As of 08:00 on January 10, 2026, the snow cover height at meteorological stations in the Lviv region is 15 – 31 cm, in the mountainous part of the region 28 – 30 cm.
