There are currently significant queues at certain checkpoints on the Ukrainian-Polish border, both for entering and leaving Ukraine. Drivers are advised, where possible, to choose less busy routes.
Vehicles waiting to enter Ukraine are reported at the following checkpoints:
- “Hrushiv” – 6 buses;
- “Krakivets” – 180 cars and 12 buses;
- “Shehyni” – 100 cars and 20 buses;
- “Nyzhankovychi” – 1 bus.
At the same time, the checkpoints “Uhryniv”, “Rava-Ruska”, “Hrushiv”, “Smilnytsia” and “Nyzhankovychi” are indicated as not busy for entry into Ukraine.
Queues of cars leaving Ukraine have been recorded at the following checkpoints:
- “Uhryniv” – 15 cars;
- “Krakivets” – 30 cars;
- “Shehyni” – 10 cars;
- “Nyzhankovychi” – 15 cars.
No build-up of cars or buses leaving Ukraine has been observed at other checkpoints. It is noted separately that on bus services leaving Ukraine at the “Krakivets” checkpoint, 12 buses are waiting.
To avoid long waits, border guards recommend planning journeys through less busy checkpoints and crossing the border in the early morning or late evening. Up-to-date information on checkpoint congestion can be monitored on the Facebook pages of the Western Regional Directorate of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and the 7th Carpathian Border Detachment.
