On 5 June in the Lviv region a deterioration in weather conditions is expected: fog, thunderstorms, squalls and possible hail. This was reported, citing information from the Lviv Regional Hydrometeorology Centre, by the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Lviv region.
According to the forecast of meteorologists, fog will form in places at night and in the morning, with visibility of 200–500 metres. Thunderstorms are possible during the day, accompanied by squally strengthening of the wind of 15–20 m/s and hail with a diameter of 6–19 mm.
Rescuers are asking residents and drivers to observe safety rules during bad weather: avoid being under old trees, advertising hoardings and power lines, do not leave cars next to trees or unstable structures and, if possible, wait out heavy downpours and thunderstorms indoors.
They also recommend carrying an umbrella and taking extra care when moving about after dark due to limited visibility in fog.
