Representatives of the 7th Carpathian Border Guard Detachment informed about the changes during a briefing at the Lviv Regional Military Administration.
Today, on March 6, during a briefing at the media center of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, representatives of the 7th Carpathian Border Guard Detachment spoke about the changes made to the CMU Resolution No. 1147 “On Border Regime”. They also familiarized the audience with the procedure for ensuring the regime in the border area.
“According to the amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On the State Border”, the special border regime includes a ban on entry, stay, and work in a strip of land 30-50 meters from the state border line. This land plot was designated exclusively for the stay of military personnel and its protection. Amendments to the CMU Resolution No. 1147 “On the Border Regime” also provide for obtaining a permit for entry, stay, residence and work within the border strip. In Lviv region, this permit is issued by the 7th Carpathian Border Guard Detachment,” said Deputy Chief of Staff, Head of the Border Guard Service Organization Department, Lieutenant Colonel Serhiy Kurylo.
To apply for the necessary services, Ukrainian citizens need to submit a list of documents:
a document proving their identity, date of birth, and citizenship
a type of permit;
validity period of the said permit;
the purpose of the event and legal grounds.
As noted, the changes do not affect the procedure for staying in the controlled border areas.
In Chervonohrad, Yavoriv, Sambir, and Lviv districts, citizens are allowed to stay with their identity documents.
“Applications must be sent to the 7th Border Guard Detachment 10 working days prior to obtaining a permit for stay, residence and work. In order to implement the amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On the State Border” by the CMU Resolution No. 1147 of January 29, 2024, the Ministry of Internal Affairs issued Order No. 49. It approved the decision to obtain the above permits. This order comes into force from the moment of its publication – the approximate time is the end of March. I ask both local residents and heads of institutions, organizations, enterprises of any form of ownership who plan to stay or carry out work within the border area of Lviv region to take this information into account,” noted Serhiy Kurylo.
The head of the recruitment group, Colonel Andriy Lushchyk, also spoke about the procedure for recruitment for contract and mobilization, selection to brigade-type border guard detachments and described vacancies for candidates.
“The 7th Carpathian border guard detachment is recruiting for military service. We work according to the recruitment system and also ensure the acceptance of conscripts for civil service during mobilization. The priority is to recruit brigade-type border guard units – the 1st, 3rd and 11th border guard detachments, as well as the 15th mobile border guard detachment “Steel Border”. We need motivated citizens of Ukraine who are ready to perform combat missions,” said Andriy Lushchyk.
