Andriy Yaremko
According to the forecast of the Lviv Regional Hydrometeorology Center, on September 11 in Lviv, there will be southeast wind gusts of 15 – 20 m/s, **thunderstorm**. The city council urges residents to heed the forecast and be cautious.
The city department of civil protection and territorial defense reminds the rules of conduct during a thunderstorm: at home, close windows and doors; unplug all electrical appliances from the network as they attract lightning, **including the phone**, since there is a threat of lightning strike during a call. On the street, do not shelter under trees, as they attract lightning; there’s also a danger of falling heavy branches that can break from wind gusts and cause harm. Avoid metal fences, billboards, power line poles and, under no circumstances, open umbrellas as metal rods attract electric charges.
If any unforeseen situations arise, please notify the city’s ‘Hotline’ at 15-80.
