In pursuance of the plan of anti-epizootic measures for the prevention of major infectious and parasitic animal diseases in Ukraine for 2024, approved by the decision of the State Emergency Anti-Epizootic Commission under the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of 13.03.2024 No. 1, the decision of the State Emergency Anti-Epizootic Commission under the Lviv Regional Military Administration of 27.03.2024 No. 2 and the decision of the State Emergency Anti-Epizootic Commission under the Yavoriv District Military Administration No. 9 of 22. 03.2024, taking into account the Decree of the President of Ukraine dated 24.02.2022 No. 64/2022 “On the introduction of martial law in Ukraine” and given the difficult epizootic situation with rabies in Ukraine and the region, the Yavoriv District Department of the Main Directorate of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection in Lviv region informs that oral vaccination of wild carnivores against rabies will be carried out in the territory of Yavoriv district in May 2024. The vaccination will cover an area of 1330 km2. The vaccine will be distributed by ground distribution.
We inform local governments, official health services, the National Police, forestry, hunting and fishing societies, heads of educational institutions, as well as the population of the district about the spring campaign for oral immunization of wild carnivores against rabies and warn the public not to pick up vaccine packages for wild animals in places of decomposition.
