Recovery efforts continue in the Lviv region following the severe weather that affected the area.
First Deputy Head of Lviv Regional State Administration Andriy Godyk reported that electricity supply has been fully restored in all settlements of the region. Access has been ensured on all roads that were flooded. This includes state and local highways in Solonka, Sykhiv, Zalissia, Sukhovolia, and other locations.
The work is nearly complete to pump water out of residential houses, basements, clinics, and schools in Lviv, Sykhiv, Yaktoriv, Malechkovychi, and several other communities. Special equipment and rescuers are working on-site.
Thanks to the swift actions of the State Emergency Service, 8 people were rescued, including 5 children. “I thank the rescuers, utility workers, road workers, energy workers, emergency services, communities, and everyone involved in the aftermath of the bad weather. Together, we are keeping the situation under control”, Andriy Godyk added.
