On August 20, at 20:28, the rescuers received a message that a young man, born in 2008, a resident of the village, was hospitalized in the intensive care unit of the Skolivska Central Hospital. Verkhne Sinyovydne, Stryi District, with a diagnosis of snakebite on the third finger of the right knuckle. The child’s condition is of medium severity.
The head office of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Lviv region appeals to the residents of the region to be careful and attentive when going into the forest or nature. Be careful in places where you can meet reptiles: tall grass, bushes, forest.
Remember, if you happen to see a snake next to you, don’t panic, don’t approach it and don’t make sudden movements, but calmly move away. Reptiles have poor eyesight and hearing, but with their body they very well pick up the vibrations of the ground at a distance of 10-15 meters.
When going into the forest, it is better to wear high, tight shoes that will not be bitten by a snake.
