Expert sappers continue to neutralize explosive remnants from the era of World War II.
On July 2 in the village of Hrushiv, Drohobych District, a 105 mm artillery shell was discovered during ground works in a field. The ordnance was successfully removed and destroyed on July 5 by pyrotechnics specialists from the Lviv Crisis Management Service. Since the beginning of the year, 358 explosive items have been discovered in 92 locations across the region, all of which have been destroyed in accordance with proper procedures.
If you find suspicious objects: do not approach them; do not touch or move them; immediately report to the Rescue Service at 101.
Remember: even after decades, these findings pose a deadly threat! Due to corrosion and degradation of explosive materials, these ordnances become especially dangerous and can detonate from the slightest touch or vibration.
