On 26 July, a predominantly low level of fire danger (class 2) is forecast across Lviv region, though in some areas a high (class 4) and extreme (class 5) risk of fires will persist.
Meteorologists and rescue workers warn that such weather conditions will contribute to the occurrence and rapid spread of fires in ecosystems where there are ignition sources, particularly open flames.
They also warn that from 26 to 28 July, in parts of Lviv region, high (class 4) and extreme (class 5) fire danger will persist. Residents are urged not to burn dry vegetation, not to light campfires in forests and to handle fire with care.
