A tragic incident occurred at the lake in the village of Hamaliyivka – a 52-year-old man has died.
He dove into the water and drowned despite the efforts of emergency medical personnel. “The Lviv City Council reminds residents that swimming is prohibited at the lake in the village of Hamaliyivka,” reports Oksana Rotko. Special information signs are installed at the reservoir warning about the swimming ban.
The lake is a technological reservoir of Lvivteploenergo and only allows fishing or relaxing by the shore. However, people often disregard these rules.
The Lviv City Council urges residents to follow safety rules on the water.
“Swim only in specially equipped places where rescuers are on duty,” rescuers remind. They emphasize the importance of avoiding diving in unfamiliar areas and submerging while intoxicated.
