Water levels expected to rise in rivers of the Dniester basin

In the rivers of the Dniester basin, a rise in water levels is forecast in the coming days due to expected rainfall. This is stated in an official hydrological warning.

In the second half of the day on 11 June and throughout 12–13 June, rivers in the Dniester basin within Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk regions, as well as on the left tributaries of the Dniester in Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi and Vinnytsia regions, are expected to see water levels rise by 0.2–0.7 m relative to the readings at 08:00 on 11 June.

According to the forecast, this increase in water levels will occur without adverse consequences for populated areas.

At the same time, in areas experiencing intense rainfall, significant local and slope runoff may form, which could lead to local accumulation of water.
