
As of 08:00 on 5 June 2026, rivers in Lviv Region are generally showing either a fall or a slight rise in water levels. This was reported by the Lviv Regional Centre for Hydrometeorology.
According to the hydrometeorological network, over the past 24 hours, 0.0–14 mm of precipitation has fallen in parts of Lviv region, and locally up to 26 mm, in particular at the hydrological station on the Stryi river in the village of Yasenytsia.
On rivers in the Sian and Dniester basins, water levels mostly fell by 1–10 cm over the past day. By contrast, on lowland rivers of the Western Bug basin and in the headwaters of rivers in the Styr basin, a slight rise in water levels of up to 8 cm was recorded.
At the hydrological station on the Dniester river in the settlement of Rozdil, the water level remains 2 cm below the mark of the minimum value for the entire multi-year observation period.
Water temperature in the mountain rivers of the Dniester basin ranged from 9.2° to 16.0°, and on other rivers in the region from 16.0° to 20.0°.
According to forecasters, over the next 24 hours minor fluctuations in water levels are expected on rivers in Lviv region, with a general tendency for levels to rise.
