
The hydrological situation on the rivers of the Lviv region as of May 30, 2025, indicates a rise in water levels.
According to the hydrometeorological network data, between 1 to 21 mm of precipitation fell in the Lviv region over the past day. This led to an increase in water levels in the Dniester river basin by 4 – 44 cm, and in the basins of the Sian and Western Bug rivers by 2 – 19 cm.
The water temperature in the mountainous tributaries of the Dniester was 5.4 – 8.2°, while in the rest of the region’s rivers it was 10.0 – 14.0°.
On May 31, a decrease in water levels is expected in the mountain tributaries of the Dniester, while an increase of 0.2 – 0.6 m is forecasted in the lower reaches of the Strviazh, Stryi, and the Dniester rivers. In the lowland rivers of the Sian and Western Bug basins, slight fluctuations in water levels will be observed with a tendency towards rising levels.
On June 1, fluctuations in water levels with a tendency towards rising will be observed in the region’s rivers.
