Hydrological Situation in Lviv Region as of August 1

The hydrological situation in the Lviv region as of August 1, 2025, is characterized by changes in water levels in the rivers.

According to the hydrometeorological network, the territory of the Lviv region received from 0.0 to 6 mm of precipitation per day. Over the past day, a decline in water levels up to 4 cm was observed in the rivers of the Sian and Dniester basins. Only on certain mountain rivers of the Dniester basin was there a slight increase in water levels by 2 – 5 cm. On the plains rivers of the Western Bug basins and the upper reaches of the Styr River, the water levels continued to decline by 2 – 12 cm per day.

The water temperature on the mountain tributaries of the Dniester ranged from 11.0 to 16.0°, while on the rest of the region’s rivers it was 17.0 to 21.0°.

The consultation on the change in the hydrological situation on the rivers of the Lviv region indicates that the next day a decrease in water levels will prevail. Between August 3rd and 4th, due to the expected precipitation, an increase in water levels will be observed on most rivers in the Dniester basin. On the other rivers of the region, fluctuations in water levels will be noted, with a predominance of decline.
