The rivers in the Lviv region are experiencing a decrease in water levels and the formation of ice phenomena.
In the past day, according to the hydrometeorological network, up to 3 mm of precipitation fell in the Lviv region. Minor fluctuations in water levels were observed on the rivers of the region, ranging from 1 to 6 cm with a predominance of decline. Due to the decrease in air temperature, the water temperature in the rivers dropped significantly to 0.0 – 3.1°.
In certain areas, the formation of ice phenomena in the form of shore ice and frazil was noted. *The consultation on the change in the hydrological situation on the rivers of the Lviv region* warns of a further decrease in water levels. On the next day, due to the decrease in air temperature, a decline in water levels will prevail on the region’s rivers, and the strengthening of ice phenomena will continue.
