A new foster family was created in the Turkiv territorial community of the Sambir district, in which 3 children deprived of parental care were placed to raise and live together.
This was reported by the Children’s Service of the Lviv OVA.
The children are minors, aged 6, 10, and 12, and are siblings to each other. It should be noted that the family is raising two native children.
“The state ensures the priority of family education and creates conditions for their development, providing material and social support to families that take in orphans and children deprived of parental care,” said the head of the Service, Volodymyr Lys.
In total, there are 40 family-type orphanages and 75 foster families in the region, in which 407 orphans and children deprived of parental care are raised.
A foster family is a family that voluntarily took in one to four orphans and children deprived of parental care for education and cohabitation.
