On the evening of January 12, at 10:12 p.m., rescuers received a report about a fire in the village of Borynychi, Stryi District. The fire broke out in a wooden residential building.
When the SES units arrived at the scene, the flames had already engulfed the roof. Unfortunately, during the firefighting operation, they discovered the body of the homeowner, born in 1966.
The fire was localized at 11:28 p.m. and fully extinguished by 12:12 a.m.
A total of 9 rescuers and 2 specialized vehicles were involved in extinguishing the blaze. The causes of the fire and circumstances of the tragedy are under investigation.
