Today at 1:14 PM, a fire was reported in a wooden church in the village of Hlynets, Yavoriv District. The 15×8 meter, 10-meter-tall church was engulfed in flames, which spread through the exterior cladding and burst out from one of its domes.
Upon arrival, firefighters faced intense smoke and used respiratory protection equipment to conduct their operations. Thanks to their prompt and coordinated efforts, the church was saved from total destruction, and the fire was prevented from spreading to the nearby bell tower.

The fire damaged two church domes, but fortunately, no injuries were reported. A total of 45 firefighters and six firefighting vehicles were involved in extinguishing the blaze.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by experts.
