The traffic accident occurred on December 21, around 1:40 p.m., on the Kyiv-Chop highway near the village of Kizliv, Zolochiv district.
As previously determined by law enforcement officers, there was a collision between a VAZ-2109 car driven by a 46-year-old resident of one of the villages of Zolochiv District and a MAN truck driven by a 43-year-old resident of Dnipro.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the passenger car received bodily injuries and was hospitalized in intensive care.
According to the fact, investigators of the Zolochiv district police department opened criminal proceedings under part 1 of article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum punishment provided by the sanction of the article is restriction of liberty for a term of up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years.
