The family of Ivan Makar, a soldier from the village of Torchynovychi, received an award from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
With the beginning of a full-scale invasion, the man stood up for the defense of the country and joined the ranks of the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo. Together with his brothers, he defended Luhansk region. A defender died on March 6, 2022 in a battle with Russian invaders near the city of Popasna in the Luhansk region. He was 33 years old.
The defender’s posthumous award was presented to his wife and two sons.
