A girl, born in 2006, drowned in the Western Bug River
On June 26, at 8:18 p.m., the 101 Rescue Service received a report that in the city of Chervonohrad on the street Radekhivska, on the river Western Bug drowned a girl, born in 2006, who lives in the village. Pozdymyr of Chervonohrad district.
As it turned out at the scene, the two girls went to rest by the river without adult supervision. One of the girls could not swim. When they decided to swim, they were swept away by the current, a friend tried to help, but she did not have the strength to save the girl.
At 10:48 a.m. on June 27, officers of the Lviv Central Rescue and Diving Service found the girl’s body, which was pulled to the surface and handed over to police.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Lviv region once again appeals to citizens and emphasizes that swimming is allowed only in specially designated places, follow the rules of safety on the water, control children. Rest safely and responsibly.
