In April, the Lviv region experienced an average air temperature ranging from 7.3 to 8.6 degrees in the plains, while in the mountains it was between 5.1 and 5.5 degrees, which is 0.8 – 2.0° below the climatic norm. The maximum temperature reached between 17 – 22° Celsius.
The minimum temperature dropped to severe (-2 – -4°) and extreme (-5 – -8°) frosts. Precipitation totalled between 9 to 34 mm, which accounts for 20% – 66% of the norm. Wind speeds reached a maximum of 16 – 21 m/s.
In Lviv, the average monthly temperature was 7.5° Celsius with a maximum of 18.6° on 5th April and a minimum of -5.7° on the night of 11th April. Precipitation for the month amounted to 19 mm (37% of the norm), and the maximum wind speed reached 21 m/s on 6th April.
In Lviv, from 10th to 12th and from 27th to 30th April, record low air temperature minima were observed at night.
