The Polish government has officially announced that Poland will accept all those fleeing Russian aggression.
This was announced by Acting Head of Lviv Customs Daniil Menshikov on Facebook.
What you need to know:
You will be admitted to Poland even without a passport – it is enough to have a domestic passport and birth certificates of children traveling with you;
Border crossings can be crossed on foot;
If you do not have a guaranteed place to stay in Poland – contact the nearest reception center. You will be provided with temporary housing, hot meals, drinks, basic medical care and a place to rest;
If you are already in Poland, your legal stay will be extended.
“I emphasize that when crossing the border for children under 16, one of the parents must be present, or a permit for the person who will accompany such a child,” said Daniil Menshikov.
